Owners and Reedmakers Dylan Evers and Kaylyn Shearer decided that making reeds for the community is a large part of why they studied music. Being able to enhance the lives of oboists through sharing their passion for their instrument has become a vital part of their musicianship.

We founded 21st CentuREEDS with one goal in mind: to take the stress away from finding quality oboe reeds made by other oboists! Our passion for playing and performing has driven us from the beginning, and continues to drive us into the future. We know that every piece of cane is different, and strive to make the reed the way it was meant to be made, which makes your playing experience as rewarding as possible.
Depending on which pieces you are playing, or how taxing your playing needs are, we have a ton of customization options available to our clients! This is easily achievable via a reed consultation with either Dylan or Kaylyn to find out more about you and your needs.
